Transmedia learning experiences integrate multiple forms of media to increase engagement and improve learning. We will demonstrate a newly developed transmedia experience: The Frankenstein Laboratory for Innovation and Fantastical Exploration (L.I.F.E.). In this web-based interactive story experience, learners take on the role of a student intern to help Dr. Tori Frankenstein and her lab assistants with their research on genetics and robotics. The experience is designed for young people ages 13 and up and has been used in both formal and informal education environments.
